Nokia N8 MMS Issues

I have a black/dark grey Nokia N8...Love the phone. Waiting for updates in Feb. Im with Fido and i am not able to get the MMS thing to work. when i send a pic the users say they get sometimes and my sent icon at the top does not dissappear, also i cannot recieve mms... I checked with my providor and it is not blocked....i did the setup wizard for the 3 access points and still does not show up.
 
Im with att and have the same problems. I have received mms, but recently i noticed that the 2 pic messages that i have sent with this phone are still in the outbox and never got sent. I cant Even delete them from the outbox which is weird too. I dont mms too often, only 2 since i have the phone since early October. I just wish i knew how to delete those 2 mms from my outbox so that message in outbox icon would in away.
 
MMS handling is HORRIBLE!!!
When I send some they often get stuck as "differed" in the outbox...
But mostly when I recieve one I have to restart the phone because it STOPS showing notifications!!
This is ridiculous!
 
Really? Not for me, I haven't had a single problem sending a MMS for the 7 weeks or so I have had the phone. It sends them immediately so it is certainly not something all N8 suffer from. I bet it is the carrier where you are or something. Nor have I had any problems receiving MMS messages either.
 
Maybe it's the size of the message? I just tried to send one and the first time it show 500kb message! I thought mms had a maximum size of like 40kb or something. I set the mms settings for the image size to be small instead of large. The size turned out to be 75kb and I tried to send it but now it's stuck in my outbox.... hmmmm

Anyways, something definitely seems wrong.
 
mine shows in out box also but the person always gets it, i find recieving to be a pain, i only know i have a mms when my phone is locked and i unlock it and see envelope on standby screen, then have to turn it off and then on and message shows up
 
I was able to delete it from the outbox using conversations and deleting the conversation, I don't know if I can use that app to delete just the outboxed message.
 
I was bitten by the same issue and was wondering if Symbian^3 not handling things in a proper way. Though later it came out to me issue from operator side only (In my case, Vodafone).

1. If your sent MMS doesn't leave outbox
I found out that in such a case, if the message is already sent and showing as deferred then you wont be able to even remove the same, which is sure a wrong part on Symbian^3 side.

Solution
Deleting conversation is a way, but I don't think one will wish to loose all the other messages.

Somehow most of the managing softwares also wont detect this 'unsent' message. Only easy cure you will find through Nokia PC Suit, where the same will not only be visible, but could be deleted easily (Ovi Suit wont show it).

2. You might find an error like "Memory Low. Unable to retrieve multimedia message. Close some Application first", when some MMS trying to be delivered on your Nokia N8
This is a generic error message and doesn't actually mean that memory is low or you need to clean up some space etc. The same error message will not go even by restarting the phone. Nokia N8 has plenty of phone memory and internal memory. Also in most of the cases, there will be at least 100mb RAM free.

Solution
As I found out, this was an issue related to wrong access point setting or poor reception. Get the latest settings from operator and try to be in a good reception area and restart the phone once and wait for 2 mins. Must be solved.
