I have a Nokia E71 and I use edge network to chat on Whatsapp and Nimbuzz, but after using the network for a while it suddenly disconnects, sometimes it connects to wifi networks (even though i set the WLAN Scan Off and also the Show WLAN availability to NEVER) but the problem is that when i leave the wifi spot it doesn't go back to EDGE.. I have an old chip so it doesn't supports 3G plus i have no guarantee that if I change it to support 3G it will stay connected and not act the same way the EDGE does. I have an old Symbian OS but also OVI Software Update doesn't updates the phone..
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME with any of these stuffs, it's driving me crazy not been able to stay connected or at least upgrade the OS to try solving those problems on the newest one.
