As the title states, would this combination work?

If so, and you have experience with it, how is it? Any problems setting it up?

Also, are there any costs OTHER THAN the one-time costs of purchasing the GPS receiver and Tom Tom maps? (i.e., data charges from your service provider?)

Any help would be great!
