Nokia E63 - Unable to send message?

Hi, I have been using my Nokia e63 for a few months now and have had no problems. about a week ago whenever i received a text it would not tell me the name of the sender only the number, and then a few days ago it stopped receiving/ sending text messages. making and recieving fone calls is fine. now it seems that i can receive messages but i still cannot send them. whenever i try to send one it gives the message "unable to send message: (contact name)
can anybody helpp?? thanks =]
