nokia e63 keyboard light?

hey well i bought my nokia e63 two days ago and whats weird is the keyboard light doesnt always be on when im using the fone? Like just say when i message thr light would be of but then in the morning the light wud stay on for like 1minute then turn back off? Why does this happen and how can i fix it!! please help
