Nokia E61 messed up possibly

Sounds like the coffee shorted-out the PCB causing the lights to always be on.
If you can get it apart, I second the alcohol recommendation. Alcohol evaporates very quickly, and should clean up any residue on the board.
 
I'm going to wait for the screwdriver to come in then I will take it apart and use a q tip and clean it that way with rubbing achol
 
Well I went to the hardware store and got a Torx T4 and it's to big! I'm like what ??? So now I have to figure out the size. It's either a T3 or T2 as the T4 somewhat fits but doesn't grip the screw and I'm sure its a torx
 
youch....sounds like you know what your talking about but it's still a scary proposition. I guess if that doesnt work it's time to get a new one anyway. Or live with the current condition of the phone. Somehow I think it will become worse as it's making the phone work so much harder and operating incorrectly. I hope you get a positive resolution pepsiman. I would hate to see someones money wasted and more importantly, a beautiful E61 wasted.
 
Take the entire phone apart. I wanna know if that little screw is the one that holds the board one. Plus I've seen pic like these many times before and when I take apart my phone only to get stuck at that small screw. So I need a T2. That's gonna be hard to find locally..If home depot doesn't have it then I don't know who would.

Anyway I found a way to get my E61 battery to power the 3650. I poured the alcohol all over the 3650 and im letting it air dry and then I will see if it powers on still after.lol
 
Got my T4 to open it up and cleaned up with rubbing achol and then put it back toghther and nothing.. Same problem nothing changed and I don't know why. Looks like I will have to try and sell this phone the way it is and then put that towards another one... Not very happy. Wish I could make the little punk pay for the phone but I higly dought that would go very far.
 
turns out he got fired to him being a lazt little punk. Tried to get off work with the excuse of going on a trip and the kitchen manager had enough and fired him..So I wont be seeing the little punk anymore..
 
Your not going to believe this. Today I was at work and I was alone this time as it's slower during the week and I put the in pretty the same spot and let it play the radio and i got it a little wet from my hands and that but not enough to damage it. Then like 10minutes ago I check my battery and its showing full bars still. I think that's odd it should of went down by now and then I looked down and just happned to notice the keypads lights are off! I think uh oh did they burn out ? I press them again and they come on! I leave it be and they shut off after 5sec like it's set up. Then I remove the battery and put it back in..Again the lights on the keypad do not come on! I'm thinking cool! my phone is normal again somehow ...

That's pretty strange.. Go to love nokia's..tuff phones.
 
Well hopefully you dont post "it's back" in a few days. Maybe the residue left by the coffee burned out with the constant lighting. Who knows?
