Nokia E61 is awesome

I bought the Nokia E61 about a year ago. I was dissapointed because the phone could not handle the 4,100 contacts from out business data base. It would only take 600 of the 4,100 contacts and a lot of the information associated with each record was lost in the synchronization.

I just updated the OS on the phone from 2.03 to 3.06 and installed the latest version of PC Suite. I also installed the Blackberry Connect software.

The phone now works awesome! I have all of the contacts and assoicated information from our server on the Nokia. The Blackberry software also works excellent. The new OS software is substsantially quicker.

My only regret now is that I just bought a Blackberry 8800 and since I had the Blackberry data plan, was messing around with the E61.

I can't believe it took so long for Nokia to get it right, but they did.
 
hey could you tell me if skyscape.com products work on your phone?
( i know its a big thing to ask but im just wondering....)
I know they work on treo's (palm) and wm devices...
they should now work on blackberries , just not sure on nokia's thingy
 
The E61 looks like such nice smartphone(and the E61i should be even better) and the user reviews are generally excellent.But it would be nice if there was a HoFo Avatar for this phone series (E61,E62,E61i).
 
I see you have the Treo 680 and 650. I was thinking about getting either one of those, however I also like the look of E61, but I think I'm going to wait for the E61i. Would you say the E61 is better than the two?
 
What do you want out of the phone? Both have their strengths. The E61's latest Symbian version is 3.06 and is good.

I have outgrown Palm. Lots of 3rd party apps, but those apps jam up the OS and cause freezing and lock ups. I had to pull the battery out of my Treo once too often to reset the devvice.

I am a big fan of BB and Symbian.

Are you looking for a business phone or personal use phone?
 
Well, I'm mostly looking for a personal phone, but I also want a reliable phone and I think we all do . I'm looking for an upgrade from my K750 for texting and such, however I don't think I like the fact that the Treo tends to freeze a lot, so I might go with the E61i
