Nokia e61 and IMAP mail

Hi everyone,

I'm just curious if the Nokia e61 handles IMAP correctly. For example, are sent e-mails placed in a sent folder? When you reply, is the mail tagged with reply (or forward)?

Unfortunately, no and no.

To handle the issue of the lack of Sent folder support, I choose to tell the Nokia to send me a copy of every email I send, and then use server side filtering to identify the Nokia client and me as the sender, and file it in the Sent folder automatically. Of course, this requires access to the server's administration or server side filtering (I use Sieve with Cyrus)

I might also add that even if you subscribe to multiple folders on your server, there is no ability to move or copy items from one folder to another.

You can buy profimail and it handles folders correctly including automatically copying to a sent folder defined by you.

Does profimail also mark e-mails as sent or forwarded?

I don't know what you mean by marking it as sent. I've never seen that nor do I see a need to mark something that's already in the sent folder. It does mark forwarded and replied however.

Sorry I meant replied (not sent)! So it does mark it as replied, and I'm assuming it will also be marked as replied on my desktop. That's great!
