Nokia E50 dictionary

Hey,.. does anyone know how to change the Chinese font in the Nokia E50's dictionary to English? Or if Nokia allows for an American/English free download to substitute for the Chinese version that comes with it. My phone is already in the English format, but somehow when I look up words in the dictionary the definitions come up in Chinese.

Go to Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> General and check that both Phone language and Written Language (or what the option calls in English) have english language selected.

It's a chinese/english dictionary. It's supposed to do that.

If you had a euro model instead of a chinese model, it wouldn't be there.

Yah -- if you go to the Nokia download site, it even indicates that the application won't work on a non-Chinese model (I tried too, mine is the Indo/Malay model) because of the double-byte character support.

If you dig around the 'net there are J2ME-based dictionaries for all sorts of things available (some free, some pay). Maybe one of these will suit your purpose instead -- I keep an English Spanish one on mine that work just spiffy.
