Does anyone know for sure if the nokias has been discontinued or not.I am hoping that they have been so this can be a great time for me to get the Krzr 4 only $85(insurance).LOL.Will anyone with any information please reply.

nokia and quallcoms' cross licenseing/patent sharing contract expired. quallcom and nokia are basically in a pissing contest regarding who has better patents. I can't imagine that nokia would walk away from cdma, a "bad" negotiation with quallcom still seems to be more lucrative then no cdma sales at all. just my opinion, if i knew all the details and worked for nokia i may feel otherwise

When my wife and I went in to get Cricket, the store had all the Nokias off display. However they did have a poster up of them. We inquired about it snce my wife wanted the slider and he said that all he has left was the other one (a flip one). He then said that Cricket was discontinuing the Nokias. She ended up with a Siren. Not that big of a deal since I dont like Nokias and havent used one since those first ones came out with the removeable face plates (xpress ons?).

in the market i live in the inventory rep is fru-ing over new hanRABets for replacements. I don't know if all markets are doing this. I love my 6265i as well

yes nokia's are discontinued. obviously nokia does not like qualquams standard licensing terms (and neither do a lot of other companies) and does not think it is worth while to continue to be an oem of CDMA phones. CDMA is such a small percentage of the global market. Nokia will be staying in the CDMA market by using different OEM and rebranding the phones to NOKIA. there is at least one hanRABet like this in testing with cricket.

there will be replacement stock available for some time tho. so don't worry about your warranty or insurance replacements being different models, you'll probably be able to get the same model for some time after it is discontinued.
