Nokia 7610?

I am interested in buying a phone to take to India for my trip and i found this Nokia 7610 pretty good. Would u reccoment this phone?...what are some good features and some bad features?..what should i look out for?..

OT:hey are you the same kamal007 in [H]? anyway first of all make sure it is unlock, I believe there are other variants of 7610b i think has 850mhz and the other one 7610 has the 900mhz the 7610 should work in that country..but do a research too...

I can honestly say it's one of the phones I've been most fond of and I've literally burned through 100's of phones in my life (sad waste of money ) That being said, there are so many modern s60 devices out there for reasonable prices...E60 E50 etc etc., it doesnt make much sense to get such an antiquated device. From what I've seen a used 7610 can fetch $200 easily on ebay. Some of the Eseries and some other newer S60's are not far off the mark. I'd do some more research and get something more modern.

I'm not really sure. It did go for as much as $700 when it was first released...maybe that's why

it's a good phone, however the camera is not that good (takes quite sometime to save a pic once u took one) and its mono

I couldn't agree more...you will not get stereo sound while listening to music, and the camera is "eh" at best...if you are getting the phone for its looks, then be my guest...if you are looking for a solid S60 device, there are better choices out there for only slightly more money -

i would spend the amount on a 6620 or even 6680...althou the gold/white 7610 is still NICE imo
