Nokia 7373 internet settings?

I am in the united states using a unlockd nokia 7373 with t-mobile service. i have the most expensive internet package they offer and my web browser works fine but for some reason the email and instant messaging applications tell me to subscribe to packet data. The sttings for setting it up were sent by t-mobile. hence the reason i can still access full google and other web site. any ideas how to fix the email and instant messaging? i also tried to download 3rd party apps for the instant messaging but they cant seem to access the phones internet ability and i get the same error messag telling me to subscribe to a packet data
