Nokia 6682 - EAR PIECE VOLUME TOO LOW

Anyone else notice this problem? I just got my 6682 3 days ago and my earpiece volume is too low even on the highest setting...Any feedback or suggestions on fixing it would be appreciated - thanks!
 
Nokia has a boosting feature that will increase the earpiece volume when in a noisy environment. Try it again outside among the busy traffic. It was always loud enough for me and I need loud earpiece.
 
when i had my 6680, it was working fine,
maybe your specific ear phones are made cheap or a minor defect
try to use a different ear phone and see if any difference
 
Oh no not the earphones, the actual earpiece that you listen through when talking. My is pretty damn quiet even at the highest setting, just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me - maybe I have a defective model.
 
I bought a new faceplate and had the same problem. The way the after market faceplate was designed, didn't allow for the sound to travel. I had to put the OEM Cingular faceplate back on. If you don't have an OEM faceplate, this could be the problem.
 
Very interested in the 6682 "boosting" feature, too. If it's in there, seems it should be accessible. I also had the same lowered volume experience changing from the OEM faceplate to an aftermarket ... different design inside above the earpiece so the sound is lost. I put the OEM back on and it's OK, but still low, even on the highest setting. Great phone otherwise. I'll try chatting in the pit at a NASCAR event ... maybe that will boost it a bit! Any other tips/advice will be greatly appreciated. Tom in Ventura, CA
 
I as well find it lower than SE. Maybe I'm just use to SE. It's been awhile since owning a Nokia. Other than this..... Awesome phone.
 
I do not want to use bluetooth. If i wanted to use bluetooth then i would not have this problem. Thanks for the useless comment. Now does anybody out there have some real help?
