Nokia 6101 Data Cable Connection Problems

i have here a nokia 6101 with tmobile and i bought a CA-42 USB cable for the phone in order to hook it up to my computer. the thing with this is that when my computer recognizes the USB being put in, it doesnt intsall the software successfuly. i've mailed the company on suggestions and im still getting different solutions from them, but none of them seem to be working.
could anyone give me a suggestion as to how i could get this up and running so that i can put the things i want onto my phone?

try it with another computer to see if there is same problem or not. check the USB port of your computer is usb 2.0.becouse all new devices works with usb 2.0 . i am waiting for your reply to see what happend with you. good luck
