The messages may be gone forever. ATT does not save the info in their data base. As you did not mention your service provider, you can check with customer service to see if they have the information saved. As for the contact numbers, you can access your information online at the service provider website. Log into your online account and view recent usage. The phone numbers may be stored there, but not the names of the people they belong to.
 
i've recently gotten back my nokia 5530 from repair only to find out that all my messages and contacts have been deleted. i can retrieve contacts from my sim memory, which only had a couple of contacts, but the one saved on the phone memory have been erased.

however, my pictures and videos are still there.

is there anything i can do to get these numbers & messages back, or do i have to retrieve everyone number's once again.
