i am really new to this mms stuff and i was wondering how i can take files i have on the computer and e-mail them to my phone. it is compatible to download mms files, i just can't figure out how to get my own stuff on there. can anyone please explain this stuff to me a little? i'll give some cpcash for some info. thanks

Does the 3595 have infrared?!? If it does, then maybe u could transfer it through Nokia's PC Suite's Sound converter using an IR pod....

If it doesn't have an infrared, then u could transfer the ringtones using WAP.... more info in this thread,

Edit: It's in the last post in the link.

Gettin a data cable and using oxygen phone manager 2 is yo best bet, thats what i do

Nope, the 3595 lacks IR, which I despised, and somewhere I thought you had to modify datacables to make it fit the 3595, but not sure. I usually just e-mail it as an attachment to myself, or upload it online at like www.3gupload.com and access it via WAP

thanks for the replies. i tried to e-mail them as attachments from my yahoo account, but i kept getting denied. i've been downloading via wap. i guess that's my only option. i heard the data cables are modified and pretty risky to buy. thanks folks.

if im not wrong.....the 3595 is the same as 3530...its got diff no's in diff countries.....ive been usin both the data cable n wap for downloadin stuff....data cable for sure is much easier!!!!

ive been usin one for my 3530....never had any probs as yet!!!

Hmmm....Thanks for the info!! I went to some other site (cellphonehacks.com) and they said had a datacable how to on modifying the 3530 cable if I'm not mistaken to work with the 3595. I might have to try that sometime, but I just keep the phone for one of my backups

I would be suprised if the 3595 needs a different cable. If you go to http://www.forum.nokia.com, and compare the 3595 with the 3530, 3510i, etc - it is basically exactly the same phone with a different cover and a bit more memory.

Of course, there is a lot of really cheap and nasty cables out there.
