No video out signal from 3100? Suggestions?

Hey all,

Since I first had my 3100 I've always used the TV coax out for the video signal, but now I have changed my setup, and I can't seem to get the other outputs to work? I've tried the RCA and SVIDEO and I only have audio working. Any idea's? Is their an option to turn this on or something??? Seems so dumb.

No suggestions at all? I realize it could be faulty hardware or a million other settings. One thing that was suggested to me was that maybe my reciever wont output the image to my tv via component cables?

So right now my setup is:

Sat to Reciever with RCA or SVIDEO
Reciever to Plasma with Component

I ever opened it up to see if the sodering was loose or something, but saw nothing. Especially since the audio is working, this pisses me off. I'm another 2 months away from upgrading to HD 6200...
 
Found something. If I hook the 3100 up direct to the TV, it works, but via the reciever...nothing...Why? Is it because it goes component from the reciever to the TV??? I get sound.
 
If by "receiver" you mean an amp or av switch of some kind, then that is the likely culprit and has nothing to do with the 3100 since it works when connected directly to the TV. Try a different input/output.

Posting in the "installation and setup" forum may result in faster/better responses. :)
 
if you put video (Yellow RCA) into the AVR, its not going to come out component (R,G,B). Unless your AVR does a conversion?
