No video in sony vegas, only audio?

I recorded some gameplay with my HD PVR and when I put it in sony vegas, it only had audio, no video. I've downloaded every codec imaginable (don't you dare tell me to download another fucking codec) and downgraded my quicktime to 7.5, NOTHING FUCKING WORKS!!!! How the hell do I fix this, it's really starting to piss me off. I've reinstalled Sony Vegas (Vegas Movie Studio 9 HD) I used to be able to edit movies in sony vegas (MP4 Files) but now I suddenly can't. Help!
