I want to get off my parent's Verizon contract and make my own. When I do, I want to be able to upgrade phone too, but to do this I have to do an early termination, which cost $250. Is there a way I can do this WITHOUT paying a ETF AND get an upgrade? I am aware I can make an account with the same contract but changed to my name, but I will not be able to upgrade, which is the primary reason for doing this (I want my own account to create credit.)
I have already been credit checked by Verizon and was given a no deposit return, the only thing stopping me from making my account was the $250.
