No talkback for the new King of the Hill?

I don't know what its name was, but it was about Dale looking into a separate vocation; he takes the worst one possible (basket-weaving) and drags Hank into it.

I thought it was good. More Dale always = more fun. And his "trophy case" was instant-win.

I was delighted to see another wonderful evil distorted fantasy (the last one was I think the Halloween episode where Bobby sees Hank as Satan). Those are just delightfully funny to see. Not to mention Dale trying to kill Hank, and then rationalize killing the rest of his fellow vocationers.
I really missed Dale and his shennagains.

I couldn't help but to laugh at that Dale's "freakout", especially that image of a basket disintegrating in front of a laughing Hank.

btw, the title of the episode was "Dreamweaver."

I also liked the freak-out scene. It's been a long time since they've done one of those.
The episode on a whole was pretty good. Classic Dale. Just keeps me wondering how someone so ignorant can come up with such elaborate reasons against his failures.

The YouTube (or SeeYou) storyline was good filler. I liked how awful the final video was and how everyone was so excited to see it getting views.

As for the title, somehow I knew it was going to be "DreamWeaver." Oh, mercy.

It seemed like the average KotH plot and sub plot spiced up with different characters for once. The Dale plot was like a bobby episode (choosing something so different then what Hank would ever choose but Hank ending up being very good at it) and the sub plot was well a common Bill, Boomhower, Dale scheme with Kahn in place of Dale.

Now I'm not saying it was bad. No I liked both the main plot and the sub plot of the episode. and changing up the common cliches with different characters works. It was really great seeing hank loosen up to joke about dale and Dale taking it the wrong way.

I believe the last one (to my knowledge) was the one where Bill was a championship eater, and Dale was talking about how he used to eat bugs, or something like that. I just sort of remember that one. Those always kinda remind me of the Beavis and Butthead film, where they were stranded in the desert.

Anyway, The B plot wasn't that good. I mean, yeah, it was funny to see a stab at the non-copyrighted amature "I have a camera, look at what I can do" type videos. But it seemed too unmotivated, and Peggy was proactive as usual, but just not in her usual funny way when it comes blowing up in her face.

But a nice little episode about people who have huge dreams crushed by reality. Dale loves Baskets, but cannot build one, and feels terrible about it (eventually). And I just love how Hank was extremely hesitant of the vocation, and somehow, he just wound up loving it and becoming great at it.

And bonus points for "Courtney Love's Confession tape."

I'd say it was an above average episode. I enjoyed both the plot and the subplot. Dale being crazy is always good. I really liked the resolution too. It wouldn't make sense for Dale to become magically good at basket weaving, but at least he found a way to make more money with his extermination skills.

I liked that too. He hated the idea of basketweaving, but when he saw that it involved tools, he immediately took to it.

I loved it, but then Dale is one of my favorite characters. That subplot definitely peaked when we saw the finished video of the hat landing on Kahn's head. It was so poorly done, I couldn't stop laughing.

Quote of the episode: (paraphrasing) "I've seen better basket's weaved by monkeys... And by monkeys, I mean high school students."

Yeah sorry about not getting a talkback up. I was busy.

Anyway, I liked this episode a lot. I'm glad they finally acknowledged that Dale doesn't have a steady career, and the resulting different job turned out to be better for Hank instead of Dale. "It's beautiful, Hank. It's like I died and went... here!"

The overly dramatic basket weaving boss was great, especially in contrast to all the perky people Hank and Dale met when they walked in. "I've seen better baskets made by monkeys, and by monkeys I mean high school students!" Also loved "Hank, you are dismissed... with extreme admiration."

The subplot with the cowboy hat reminded me of "Bugs' Bonnets". Khan's fake surprise reaction when the hat goes on his head was hilarious.
