No T-Mobile service on unlocked iPhone 3g?

I unlocked it with ultrasn0w from Cydia and I put in my T-Mobile Sim Card, but it just says "Searching..." or sometimes "No Service". I don't need 3g my T-Mobile plan just has calling and texting. Help please! thanks!!
