No sound to the stereo from PS3?

Ok, don't have my PS3 right now, but go somewhere in the settings (can't tell cuz i dont have ps3 around me at the moment, think its the video settings, but idk...), and tell it to make the sound thru the RGB connections....

If you want the audio to go from your TV to your stereo (like mine), you have to plug audio out from the TV and plug it to audio IN to the stereo.Make sure the stereo is on the right input also (mine has to be on auxillary audio in for it to work)....
 
I connected my PS3 through HDMI into a HDTV. I want to hear the sound from my shelf stereo through Audio Input Connector (Audio L, Audio R). My stereo has these connections, one red, one white, on the back of it. My TV has Audio Out to the left and right speaker. I see everything through the HDMI and I'm getting sound from the HDTV, but when I make the setting to Audio Input Connector, no sound. I have the stereo connected to the TV through Audio Cables.

What am I doing wrong? Have I missed making a setting? Help me out here!
