No Gnutella on AT&T Broadband???

I am finally online once again after the demise of @Home and I can no longer connect to gnutella. It seems I am being firewalled by AT&T. Anyone able to connect on the new network?

I got rid of that ad infested version 2.x of Limewire and went back to 1.6d (or 1.7c) and everything works fine. I still have problems maintaining a good list of hosts though. It fluctuates and drops all together at times... much more than ever before. It's acceptable though.

Ditch any limewire above 1.7... those ads suck and they removed a lot of nice technical features in the newer version. Who needs an mp3 player built into Limewire anyway?

Have you tried changing ports?

AT&T may just be blocking the common Gnutella network ports (i.e. 6346 & 6347).

Here is a list of port uses.

Try setting your port to something normaly used by another application (not one you personally use though).

yes, I was a @home customer and have successfully converted to attbi.com. I am connected to Limewire but it is inconsistent at best. Lots of drop outs, frustrating.

Being on .edu server i am unable to conect to any of the servers, is there any other option to connect to different ports on routers (limeware or bearshare)
Or i should run SOCKS or Tunneling

I have Verizon DSL and I also cannot connect after they had about a 36 hour downtime in my area...what gives? How can I bust through this, I am having withdrawals here. I am in North Dallas Texas in case anybody else is having this problem.

@home customers are screwed. I have reason to believe we now have fake "internal" IP addresses under the @home network firewalled through their gateways.... you could try a winipcfg and force the IP?
