No focus lock with N95?!

After upgrade to latest FW i am unable to get focus lock with the camera (no green square).
Any ideas what happened?

I only get lock if target is closer than 40 cm...

This makes the camera useless for me. Any way to restore the old firmware?

Are you checking whether or not you're in Macro vs. Auto - check under scene modes.

In Macro i have ok lock, in auto: no lock if more than 40-50cm.

u might want to do a master reset then. Cuz this should not be happening.

I tried that to, without luck. Its very strange tho, i did not have any problems with the first firmware
