Hello,
I have a satellite that was just hooked up after 5 months of being down. My problem appears to be that I'm unable to get any of the even transponders (with exception of #32). The odd transponders have a signal strength of 85-100%. This happens with both of the receivers that are plugged into the satellite. I was at one point able to get the even transponders with exception of #'s 4,6,10,16,22 and 28. But after watching tv for a little while those seemed to have disappeared. I tried upon suggestions of this forum using a different cable (brand new RG6 cable) to see if it was a cable fault which it appears it wasn't. So I'm now thinking that I need to replace the LNB, but my problem is I haven't been able to find a store in Toronto that I could just walk into a purchase a new one.
Any help with this would be greatly accepted.
Thank You
Rob

Since the problem is on both receivers, it sounds like you are saying like a LNB problem. LNB can not be purchased in store you would have to call our customer service and be transferred to a L3 tech who could place the order. Or maybe Nimiq1 knows a fastest way, he's a tech

The most common reason for loosing the even transponders is a splitter in the line or lines.

Any "cable" splitter will cause this issue, Sat signals do not behave the same as regular Cable.

If you PM me I can put you in touch with a store in the GTA that always carry LNB's.

If you have NO splitters in the lines then Agent could be correct about the LNB but as a Dual LNB acts as 2 separate LNB's again this is most odd.

Try doing a check switch with NO input cable on the receivers, this will force them back to a default state, it might help.

Otherwise PM me I will see if I can help.
