YOU BASTARD!!!!!!

LOL j/k least you didn't go Jap!

Bottom line here is that they're short on kizash since Rossi want's to be able to buy Sicilly as a retirement property so someone had to suffer..... I'm glad I bought when I did now! Sure they'll be still selling superbikes in 2012 or whatever but our 1198's will be the last "race inspired" or whatever models produced for WSBK! might help with the resale/trade-in value!

Part of me is also thinking.... Fucking Aprillia and Biagi stuck it to us this year.... srsly.... that A-hole is runnin nitrous.... I swear to god. I think their realizing they need a lot of work since the factory boyz are LUCKY to be finishing top 5 it seems. Sometimes you need a few "rebuilding years" like they say when it comes to franchise teams in sports. I think Ducati will return to WSBK after they gather their pride back after gettin the beat stick from Biagi and company. That lil bastard.........

Ducati threatened to do this a few years ago when they were replacing the 999. I on the other hand am crushed by this. I love wsbk, much more than MotoGP. Though Ducati does seem to have a point, as much as Ducati needs to stay in racing, WSBK needs to be clear on its rules. As such, I do believe they will re-enter with their new bike assuming wsbk gets the rules ironed out.

what i don't understand is why they even put the weight and air restrictions on the duc in the first place. when you look at the hp numbers of honda and suzuki which is at 214HP. The Ducati is at 197HP.

so the ducati is down 17 hp from the 4 cylinders and yet they still put the restictions on? they need to just put a max hp cap on all the bikes. wtf.

all the rules in place to day are subjective at best. you can't quantifiably put restictions in place when you are dealing with 2 cylinders vs 4 cylinders. it's retarded and it doesn't work. the rules seem to be in place depending on who is complaining the most.

and then to allow the aprilia to run a prototype engine with the gear driven cam is just absolutely ridiculous.

I thought it was a displacement issue. and the R is 200 cc larger then the i4s, and dont they have an advantage in torque over the i4s? As far as ape is concerned I think the rules are being bent to help them establish themselves in WSB. Frankly I think ducati should be allowed to run the seddicci's next year in WSB! 1500 units built that should qualify as a production bike

I hope taking a year off will help them produce a better bike/rider combination. I for one is a very avid fan but i do feel bad waking up in the wee ours of the morning to watch a wsbk race(damn time zones) only to see ducati loose, most of the time Perhaps the ucrrent superbike is no longer competetive against the i-4's so taking a break and rethink there design will be very good for the company and us fans. lets hope for the best
