No color from DVD Player. Philips 5150.?

I bought a new DVD player Philips 5150. I have BPL 21 Inch Color TV. It is working fine. When i attached the Dvd player. I am able to get the sound and video. But the Video is black and white. but the other channels are coming in color. I have checked the DVD player in my friends TV. Its working Fine. How this may happen only for the DVD player. Please Help
