I bought a used 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Coupe a few months ago and have always noticed there's no chime for the lights being left on, key in ignition, or seat belt not fastened, but never thought much about it. Well now that I just got a new key fob to replace the broken one I got with the car, I have to go into programming mode where you NEED chimes to tell you things are working correctly, but since i have no chimes or any audible noise, I'm clueless and nothing can be programmed. I've checked the fuses for the chime and they appear to be intact. They are also the same ones used with the HUD and that's still working fine as well. If i could avoid any costly repairs that would be great, so thanks in advance!!
