The truck quit. The battery was dead. It has a brand new battery in it, so I took the alternator and battery in and had them tested. Both of them tested just fine. I hooked it all back up and the battery voltage was going down as the truck was running, so where there was no charge I took the alternator in to a different place, still tested good.

So the battery is new, and the truck will run on it if I fully charge it. I am getting no charge, but the battery is good, alternator is good, and the cable from the alternator to the battery tests good.

NO CHARGE :(

So there is a 4 wire connection on the alternator. Only one wire hooks up to the alternator and disappears into the wiring harness. Where does that go ? Can that one wire be open (fusable link or something) thus causing it not to charge ?
