I will be getting a ninja 250r and I'm 5'0 . I went to sit on it and I can't even touch the ground. I told the guy I wanted to lower it and he said that he wouldn't recommend it because it changes the "HANDLING". Plus,he said shaving off the seat would be a good idea but unfortunately the 250r doesn't have much to shave off of like the 550 or 600.
So my question is, what are the cons of lowering the bike? What did the sales guyy mean by the handling being altered? If I shave off the seat, will my butt become numb because theres almost no padding?
By the way, the salesman said that his ex-wife was 5'1 and couldn't touch the floor either, so she would lean on her right foot when she was at a red light or when she needed to stop. But he downside to that is if there is a pot hole or the pavement is uneven, you will tip over, or if theres oil and you step on it and then start riding your bike, you foot will slip.
