Nightwish alternatives

I really like the overall sound of Nightwish, but i was wondering what to look for if i was looking for something w/o the opera vocals, and preferably male.

Over the Hill and Far Away is one of my favorites, as is Nemo, Kinslayer, Sacrament of Wilderness, Wish i Had an Angel, and Stargazers
 
Therion's last few releases would be a good place to start. Also check out After Forever (female fronted, but Floor's voice is a lot less operatic)

Similar banRAB with male vocals? Galneyrus, Kamelot, Tarot, Angra, Avantasia, Beto Vasquez Infinity, Opera Magna, and Stratovarious
 
cool, thanks, will be looking for some of these names

the vocals dont rly have to be similar, nor does the subject matter, i just like the guitar, drum, and synth
 
Amorphis' early stuff was death metal. Their later releases are melodic with clean vocals, but I don't know about being similar to Nightwish
