Nightmare!

I dunno what kind of music is the most popular here, but has anyone else gotten Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold? It is incredible, the heavy stuff is better than ever, the solos by Gates are his best work yet, and the slow melodic stuff flows seamlessly, plus with the Rev passing on you figure the drumwork would suffer, but then the best drummer on earth(Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater) fills in and makes it even better. Any opinions from people who have heard the record?

I like it but not as much as their last 2 albums. At times the singing didn't flow well with the rest of the music but I think its a pretty solid album.

Props to Portnoy for filling in for Rev (RiP). He said he tried to stay true to the drum tracks rev had worked on but I can definitely see a lot of Portnoy influence in most of the songs which is always a good thing.

God Hates us is by far my favorite song.
Nightmare has grown on me as well.

I love a7x, but there is no denying Portnoy is the best drummer on the planet, drums on this album are definatley the best yet
