For the past week whenever it reaches night i start getting horrible anxiety.
I start freakin out about everything that i think of.
my head starts feeling heavy and i have trouble concentrating.
i feel sick with the stress of it.
but the next morning when i wake up i am ok till nightime.

what is going on? past two nights i have taken gabapentine to calm myself but its not prescribed to me so i dont know what to do. its going to be night soon and i am even freaking out about the freakin out -,-.

Go see a Hypnotherapist and she/he will help you deal with it. I used to have the same problem and I was able to overcome it. It's all about the subconscious mind trying to protect you & tiredness, that is where anxiety comes from. You should go for a couple sessions and I guarantee you it will go away over time :)

I am experienceing the same thing at the moment and used to take gabapentine (unprescriped aswell), although the pills didnt calm me down to much, which is the reason I stopped taking them. I'm not sure if this will help you at all but if your struggleing falling asleep due to anxiety, close your eyes and picture yourself in a place you'd like to be in, where ever you want, a forrest, some sort of a fairy tale, the beach, where ever. While your in your 'safe place' try to focus on things such as the temperature and the colors that are around you and the sounRAB. You will hopefully eventually fall asleep. This technique gained me hours of sleep that I would never have gotten.

try to change your nighttime routine ~ if you always do things the same way when it starts to get dark mix it up a bit and see if that helps ~ my attacks used to be the worst at 11 in the morning and i was so trapped into my morning rituals that nothing i could do would stop the 11am anxiety so i started changing the way i did things in the morning ~ it was hard as my OCD is just as bad as my anxiety but it really helped ~ when 11am came around i had other things going on and the time passed and no anxiety ~ it was a good feeling!!! if nighttime is really bad and you do not have any allergies some benadryl is very helpful ~ good luck and keep the faith ~
