Night Terrors, hearing sounds?
I know I do have night terrors, I wake up scared **** less and my heart is thumping like a drum, but I also hear hear this humming sound...and it slowly goes away after I calm down before I go back to sleep.
This has been happening for years..since I was 4 or 5. I am now 34.
Does anyone know what this should could be? sounds like it is coming right out of me ears...
I know it is coming from me, like is it my heart I hear? my blood rushing through my body, my brain? my pulse?????
I is a terrible feeling....like I said, it fades away, if I breathe calmly and slowly, it fades quicker

i have had night terrors for a loooong time now, no idea why but I am interested it anyone knows what actually causes them

If you go to a nother room or setting ,It helps or read a bit ,and try then to sleep it changes your mind set.

sounds like you got something wrong with your ears since you say you have always heard it i'm going to say you have a busted ear drum.you may want to go see a ears nose and throat doctor.when i go to bed i think of how i want my dream house built.and i go to sleep quick.i don't watch scary movies.and i try to think of positive things before i go to bed.if i had a problem that day i tell myself.just go to sleep it will still be there for you to deal with it tomorrow.and think about my house .

You should try doing a search on your symptoms, such as allergic reactions, carpal tunnel. Look into elimination diets about sensitivities to foods and additives.

I've had panic attacks in the middle of the night that woke me up. The one sleep medication Trazodone was also triggering this. There could be a few different reasons for this. You might have allergies, hypertension, sleep apnea etc. I recently found out I was allergic or sensitive to aspirin. There are so many different foods and spices that also have this same ingredient.

I usually had migraines or headaches, typically, at the back of my head and neck. I've also recalled having had seizures when I was younger. You also might have toxins building up in your body.

You should probably see your doctor and maybe have some lab work done. One site I found mentioned some bacterial infections.

Check for thyroid symptoms....
