Night at the Museum -Your Thoughts

I went to see Night at the Museum last Sunday with some frienRAB and personally thought it was really good. Dick Van Dyke played his role well, and the storyline was good to follow, and comical in some places.

However, in my opinion, I would have to say it took a while for them to get to the actual "Museum antics" part (I.e. where all the animals come to life", non the less, it was a good film, and according to Empire, they may be making a sequal

Must say I really enjoyed it too and thought it much better than the reviews suggested.

I am pleased to hear they may be making a sequel.

Warning, possible 'light' spoiler below.

Good movie, took family to see and I can highly recommend it.
Thought at first it was way too formulaic i.e. divorce dad wanting to see kid etc.but once that was out of the way and the museum coming alive part kicks in then the whole picture becomes great fun. Great to see Owen Wilson (again with Ben) and Steve Coogan together.
Without giving too much away, to my horror (a self confessed film credit reader - a film is not a film, till you see it to the end I say)...I rushed my family out of the cinema just after the closing scene BUT just as we got out of door, the 3 security officers were on screen talking - WHAT happened to them?? We missed it. I just thought it was a lapse in an otherwise good script that they did not mention the guarRAB at the end.

I only watched the first 1/2 an hour or a bit longer but really dislike it. I saw until the end of his first night and tought it was predictable, boring, cheap and I didn't laugh once. Rickt Gervais also relaly annoyed me. But that was just my opinion.

went to see it for my birthday, much better than i thought it would be. gave a few laughs most of the cinema were laughing along too. dick van dyke still going strong!

Hubby & I really liked it. It's good to suspend your disbelief & have a good old laugh out loud now & again.

There were a couple of "yank" jokes that we did not find that funny, (the bit with the intercom in the museum going on too long & becoming irritating being one) but you have to expect that from a Hollywood movie. All in all enjoyable.

Shocked at the new year price hike in tickets around our way though - we won't be going to the pictures as often as we used to.

Thought it was dreadful..Ben "one expression" Stiller was his usual annoying self. Robin Williams obviously hates to play support and was so disappointed in Ricky gervais - complete waste of comedic talent. LoaRAB of plot holes and so predictable...but my kiRAB loved it!!

I thought the film was quite good - esp, for it's target audience (young kiRAB). Made me laugh anyway.

But Ricky G was sh*te. Spoiled the film. What on earth is he famed for? He's about as funny as a broken arm.

I went to see it yesterday, got dragged. Wasn't really expecting to like it, but hey, didn't have to pay so i didn't argue.

Laughed my head off!! Thought it was brilliant!! Owen Wilson was brilliant, and Steve Coogan normally irritates me but I thought he was really good. Ricky Gervais was awful..the only bad point. Dick Van Dyke is just amazing. It's a really good family film, just fun. Ignore the plotholes and just laugh and enjoy it lol

I eventually got to see this tonight and I really enjoyed it. It is a good family film but I have to agree about the comens about Ricky Gervais as he was the only bad part about the flm!
