Nick Robinson you lairy bastard!!!!

Shame on him. He is only a puffed up autocue reader who thinks he is some top political correspondent. The worRAB on teh auto cue have been written by back room staff in the BBc and authorised by its labour loving top brass. Typical of this over paid auto cue reader to protect labours abysmal war history by tearing down someone elses property. Shameful.

God atleast hasnt provided him with sterling looks.
 
I don't think Nick Robinson is a leftie, unless he got confused about the party he joined while at uni

anyway I can understand his annoyance at someone disrupting his live reports (regardless of how valid the sentiment is)
 
Interesting how The Guardian don't seem to have reported this.

If it was Sky News it would be all over the front page with links to Facebook/Twitter campaigns and urging people to complain to Ofcom.
 
There was no disruption. There were no slogans being shouted. I watched the news clip live. The placard was held behind him. he moved sideways to prevent the placard being shown on TV. When the clip cut to George Alagiah in teh studio for his question, and came back to Nick Robinson the placard had gone as the cameraman changed his angle. A few secs later the placard reappeared as the holder readjusted his position behind Nick. No faces were seen, no slogans and no disruption.

Nick Robinson tore up the placard after the news item was over.


That was destruction of property.
 
Good on him. I'd have snapped too if I'd spent half my year trying trying to report with people like that desperately trying to get into camera shot. They're quite within their rights to protest, but they just look like desperate attention-seekers when trying to force their way onto unrelated news bullitens.

I watched the actual news clip live. There was no interruption during the broadcast itself, save for the placard being strategically placed in the background of the camera shot for a few seconRAB.
 
It hardly qualifies as attacking someone. He just takes a home made banner off some tofu eating sandle wearing lay about from the socialist non-workers party.
 
It was a bit naff, though - holding up a stick with a slogan on it. Very 1970s. We've not progressed much. What next - parading a flag saying 'War - What is it good for?' behind Lorne Spicer as she explains what a fun day they've had at the car boot sale?
 
It is in fact totally unacceptable for a BBC news correspondent to get involved in the story like that.

In the modern age the whole point of protesting with banners is so the banners can be seen on TV.

So Nick Robinson assaults a person and destrupts the democratic process and it's quite ok old chap?

Anyone else did that and they would be getting a visit from the police.
 
I think Nick Robinson is great and a very very skillful presenter and conducts himself generally exceptionally well, on this particular episode I thought he was great, a lot of people would have reacted the same way and it did also make great telly !!!!
