I'm thinking something more similar to a Matte-Box in design, but not an actual matte box. I understand they are the same thing, but I'm looking for something light and plastic, no need for rails and no filter slots.
Something more proportioned to that of the hood pictured in http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/articles/sony_hc1e/sony_hc1e_hdv_camcorder.htm.
A wider horizontal aspect is my primary goal.
The threads are 37mm, and I'd appreciate it if a converter was suggested if one was needed.
