Niacin

In the past day I ingested a large quantity of niacin (>4g); today I have felt lethargic and slow, is this merely a temporary effect? I know the how ridiculous it is to consume the aforementioned quantity of niacin as it may cause liver damage; however I must say after about a day I'm starting to feel much better. I do not intend to repeat such actions yet, I am still a bit worried as to the long term effects of this one-time dose.
 
I read where a large dose of niacin can lower your blood pressure so maybe that's why you're tired. If you are concerned you should call your doctor, tell them what you did, and get checked out.
