NFL Sunday Ticket Question

OK..being in Windsor and having satellite and no local channels, I can only watch Detroit Lions games on rabbit ears or the NFL package (thanks for your sympathy). Now this week is a blackout in Detroit but BEV has told me that it does not apply to Canada and Windsor specifically. Does anyone know if this information is correct? I know that some NHL games for instance are only West or such but it's hard to believe they would block games to a very small portion of the Canadian market (do they have that technology). Thanks for any information.
 
Yes, they have that technology. They can black out shows based on postal code; it happens all the time with CFL games.

Will they? That I don't know.
 
Well it was and after BEV staff assured me it would not be. Then I found out that Cogeco's coverage was not blacked out and that poured a little salt into the wound. I could complain to BEV after being given incorrect information but what's the point. I don't see any credit coming my way and I did get a chance to see other good games. Live and learn. And consider a switch to Cogeco when the contract is up.
