I'm currently on a family plan for T-Mobile. My 2 year contact is ending soon, and I would like to get a new phone. I want to get the Samsung Nexus S for T-Mobile. It's already an unlocked phone. So you could buy it unlocked for like 500 something dollars. Or buy the t-mobile version of it at Best Buy for like 199 with a 2 year contract, which is what I would like to do.
My question: Do I HAVE to get a data plan when I buy the phone? If so, how much is it? Is there any way out of this? If there is a way out, I could still access the Android Market and stuff using JUST wi-fi right? My friend has a blackberry on t-mobile and she got it without a data plan. So, she has free Internet access at any place with wi-fi.
I really do NOT want to get a data plan.
Don't tell me that there's no point in getting an Android phone without a data plan..Blah blah blah. I don't care.
