nexus s 4g texting help?

I just went to best buy today and picked up the nexus s 4g. Everything was going great until i got home tonight and realized that when I texted my friend, an error came up saying "message not sent select to review the message and try again". I saw other people online talking about something with an smsc number or something? any help would be appreciated. I have sprint by the way
