Nexus One vs. Iphone specs

i had both the iphone and and now the latest motorola android becuase of the spotty att network

nexus may beat the iphone in specs, but in my opinion nothing comes close to the iphone, even iphone older models are many years ahead of phones just coming to the market. People use androids in the US just becuase they don't want to use ATT which has exclusive contract for iphones.

It's surprising why people spend time trying to company any smartphone to iphone to claim that it's better.

If you used iphone, then you probably know it's the best smartphone on the market and does everything better than any other phone in every category.

Saying that, I really hope that android phones keeps improving and try to at least match the iphone not in specs, but in usability.

I hate when people come into a thread and give no explanation of their statements when they are debating something. Please explain how the iphone is years ahead of the nexus one. Please.

how come the iphone couldn't record video out of the box if it's years ahead? and a $30 motorola razr could?
How come it took oh...3 years for apple to release a phone that could record video out of the box? and the nexus one can do it out of the box and it's been out a week

how come the iphone is on its 3rd round of phone developement apparently going into it's 4th, and android is still in its first year or so (give or take a few months). probably because the iphone was NOT years ahead, everyone had tons and tons of gripes about the iphone and what it couldn't do, thus finally a 3G came out and guess what? more cry baby stuff, and OMG now a 3Gs...wtf are you talkin about years ahead?

the nexus one can do everything and more than the iphone can out of the box (minus multi touch but then again some claim to have it with certain apps)

this isn't about video taking btw, it's about the fact that it's taken apple 3 freakin iphones to make fanboys happy. 3!!!! how is that years ahead of anything

you sir, fail!

my 2cents, how come there was no stereo bluetooth, y was there only 1 blutooth headphone option(apple's own branded mono bluetooth)? why was it not able to compose email while in landscape? why was the cam only 2 mps? why my girl wait in line for hours and was not able to activate for 2 days because itunes crashed? why is there no way to replace my battery myself? why do i have to close my app to use another one?

this can go on forever

It's also the best at streaming live video to the internet and integration with Google voice. Did I mention its flash for the camera is the best.

And just so you know I wouldn't trade my current phone for an iPhone on any provider even if it would work on any provider

i've never spent much time on the iphone vs android debate. i used to think the iphone was an attractive piece of hardware and i admired the graphics rendering and quality of applications & ui. that said, i looked at a friend's iphone 3GS the other day, and honestly, next to the N1, the hardware and screen resolution/icons/layout looked like a fisher price toy.

Honestly, anyone who fights for their preferred device these days in a fanboy. It is all about personal preference and the platform you prefer.

All smartphones now have similar features and functionality, it is just how they present them to the user. Also, this can boil down to a carrier choice... which is the main difference when you choose a smartphone.

I am looking forward to the day when you can pick whichever phone you want and have it available on multiple carriers so that you can have the freedom to get the service you want for the price you want. Everyone's experience with carriers differs depending on where you live.

I suppose you are regretting this statement in hindsight, but to add another. Do you believe the email capabilities on the iPhone are superior to the BlackBerry Email service?
