Nextel...Done...where to now?

After a long 8 year battle with nexthell I'm done. WHere to now though? I'm not a huge sprint fan, so...? I'm kind of leaning towards the AT&T/Cingular way. But whats the expert opinion??

Largely depends on how the coverage is in your area. Each carrier has it's strengths and weaknesses. Sprint has rotten CS, while T-Mobile's is an award-winner...but T-Mobile's coverage tends to suck outside of major metro areas, compared to Verizon and AT&T...but Verizon can be extremely limiting with locked down phones and walled gardens, while you get more freedom with AT&T...but AT&T service tends to be a bit more expensive.

Then of course, you might have a smaller local or rural carrier in your area. They have advantages too, as their coverage tends to be EXCELLENT in comparison to most others, but they might not have the features of the major carriers.

GSM with full rate enabled FTW

As for AT&T more expensive, not really, it was cheaper than when i was with USCC, and i had a friend port from VZW with a family plan tell me AT&T was a lot cheaper. These are Voice with unlimited data plans, real internets baby.

As as far as the phones go, god i'm so glad i'm not stuck on CDMA anymore

For quite a while, Verizon was cheaper...$15 for unlimited internet versus $20. it's still that way on the "Basic" plans. Now it depends on which wierdo plan you pick with Verizon, since they made their plans more confusing. But in a lot of cases, Verizon is cheaper (their 450 plan gives unlimited N+W versus AT&T's 5000 minutes N+W....base unlimited internet for phones on AT&T is still $20, but can be had for $15 with Verizon...but that AT&T plan includes 200 messages, etc). So it depends on what one is shopping for...and if they can put up with Verizon's phones.

verizon doesn't have rollover though, and 5000 N/W.......so, lol i honestly don't see how that will matter much. plus you have a 9 dollar option to make it early, whenever you want it, and the internet on ATT is a lil better since you can use it with free apps like opera mini beta 4 wich browses the net like the iphone etc. google maps, yahoo go, etc
