well im going to go get one today. The i730 or i830 which ever they have in stock. the phone will be used much for walkie talkie and calls to kentucky . what i was wondering is if you activate your phone on line how long does it take befor you can talk to people?

is there a different number people use to talk to you on the walkie talkie? so there would be a total of two numbers your regular number and you walkie talkie number right?

i have a question i am new at this and people keep asking me for the code plug for this phone but no one will tell me what that is or how to get it? -- please help
 
The codeplug is basically the software in your phone. You can obtain the codeplug from your phone with a program called Super Agent RSS or Carrier RSS. You will hook your phone to your computer the same as you would to download rigntones to it, but instead you open the Carrier program and select to Read Phone. Once it has read gthe phone you can save your Codeplug and give it to whomever is asking for it. To reinstall it is much the same. Open the Carrier program load your new codeplug, hook your phone to your computer and select Write Phone. After it is complete your phone will restart itself and you are done. :)
