hey guys!!! Some may agree and some may not...but all i have to say is that Nextal's reception sucks. I've been with Nextal for 3 years and a half and i still haven't switched. I always get cut of for some reason when i'm in the middle of a conversation. I like their plans...the free incoming....and i still have it because it's a better business phone...especially for the company i work for. Anyways, since reception sucks we should be able to atleast get really cool ringtones???!!??? I've been trying to get tracy bonham's song, "something beautiful" as a ringtone but they don't have it. My friend's brother who works for Universal Music, introduced me to her new c.d "Blink the Brightest" and it's a pretty sweet c.d but where else can i possibly upload that ring tone? Has anyone here heard of her?

Your answers in a nutshell:

1) You need WebJal
2) You need music ripping software (8kHz Mono .WAV setting)
3) You need a USB Data Cable
4) You need the song (you can probably get through download service)
5) A little ingenuity and patience

reception really all depends on where you live, some places its better and some places its worse. its like that with all phone companies.

u can jus u that computer usb cable, connect it to your phone and the computer, get the song on to the computer and just copy it from the computer to your phone. To do this you will need to download i think like 2 software that are free, but i dun remember at dis moment, its is a pretty long process but its the best way to get the songs u cant find anywhere.

I have great reception with Nextel, I am very pleased. I just moved out into the country and I am the only one who gets cell service around here, all the other people have to wait until they get into town to get service, however it all depends on the company and area you are in to what reception you will get.

Yes, the reception sucks, I have to go out side to talk at work, at home, and damn near every one elses house I know. I used to get dropped calls and no service every other month, whhy do I keep them???

I agree they suck any more.. I have had them since 1998 (started with the i370 powerphone mod'd out with blue buttons and the $70 slim lith- ion battery) and they have progressively gotten worse. I am hoping that the up comming freq change will make things better. We will see. I keep them & the other even worse carrier t-mobile (htc pocket-pc) because they are both demos.
