next step for getting a job in business?

I have just graduated with a Bcom in Accounting. I went to a university where everyone partied pretty hard, and as a result, my grades are not stellar. However, for the amount i did, my grades are pretty good. I see myself as a good at the field.

I'm considering a Masters in Applied Finance as a next degree at a different uni in a main city which i really like. I'd like to get a job at a big 4, then get my CPA, then would like to move onto company sort of work. Financial strategy, financial management, asset management ect (CFO in future). I think Finance would be better for this? But accounting is definitely still important.

The thing i dont like about most post grad degees is they concentrate on research. This doesn't help me in the real business world. Masters in Commerce is highly research based and aimed at students looking to become academics

Is applied finance a good move? If not, what is?

Is it viewed as worse than a Master of Commerce in finance? The course i'm looking at is highly industry based and hands on teaching approach.

Thanks
