I would hope the Browns have learned from their former mistakes. Crennel was a protege of Bill Belichick. Look how that turned out. Mangini is a protege of Bill Belichick. I'm guessing if Mangini were to go to Cleveland, they'd get the same results that they did with Crennel. They both learned from the same guy and have a similar coaching style. If you want a changed product, you have to have a drastic change in the guy running the show. Your guess is as good as mine who the next coach will be, but if they have any sense they will stay away from Mangini. He's not a bad coach. He is an awful fit for the franchise, however.
As far as I know, Pioli is the only person they have expressed interest in for the post of GM. That deal could close any day now.
