Newspapers archival..?

whats the thing called that's some kind of projector-thingy for viewing old newspapers?.
oh, and how exactly do newspapers get printed on film,and when does it happen, whne its first printed?.
 
It's a microfiche, but sounds like micro fish.. It's very similar to a movie projector except the ...darn..can't think of the word, but the 'slide things' are larger and they move slowly by your own hands turning the crank.
