Hi everyone! I'm 29 years old and have been dealing with spine problems for the past 5-6 years. I've been a patient at 3 pain clinics and have done a few rounRAB of PT. I had my first MRI back in 2003 and the findings were:

disc herniations at L4-L5, L5-S1
degenerative disc disease
facet joint syndrome

It was about 2005 when I received my first surgical consultation. At the time the doctor felt I was not a candidate for surgical intervention. So I continued on my way with pain medications. I also received a TENS unit. I have also had epidural and nerve block injections.

In 2006 I started chiropractic treatment and am still doing this about once every 2-3 weeks. Within the last few months I have started to experience nurabness in both legs on the outside of my thighs. The nurabness has not gone past my knees. My chiro sent me for an MRI about one month ago. The findings were that my problems have progressed, and I also received a new diagnosis of spinal stenosis.

This week I have an appointment for a second surgical consultation with a neurosurgeon. I have no idea what to expect so I am a bit nervous.
