Newbie Question - When would steering dampers save your neck?

I might be wrong but I was under the impression that backing off the throttle loads up the front wheel and may lead to an increases in the problem.

the best solution is to accelerate (not so sure about this one) and have a very light grip on the bars, basically let the bike correct itself. Both these things can be difficult and are not the normal self preservation reaction.

All akin to going in to a corner to hot: backing off, braking and stiffening up may all lead to a crash where as accelerating and looking around the corner with a light grip may see you amazed at just how fast you can take the corner.

1-As you'll get more aquinted to your bike, you'll ride it harder than now.
If you change bike every year, that wont happend!

More experienced riders have a very light grip on their clip-ons but ride hard as well so there you go,another way to have the bike oscillate more.(but its normal, everything works).

...was that clear....

2- Dampers looks kewl...they also prevent the pizza from sliding to far up front.
